Support Coordinator Training
We are excited to announce an update to our support coordinator core training program. The division has removed the support coordinator core training videos from the DSPD website. These have been replaced with e-learning modules available through the Utah Learning Portal.
The new SCE Core Training is e-learning content delivered mostly through the Utah Learning Portal (ULP).opens in a new tab
One additional training comes from the Supported Employment Leadership Network (SELN).
SCEs have 60 days to complete each training after it has been assigned. Some ULP content was developed with DHHS subject matter experts to help reinforce essential SCE processes. Additional core training content in ULP was developed by Open Future Learning, a third party vendor. Open Future Learning content is informed by lived experiences of people with disabilities.
The Support coordinator core training resource guide and FAQ opens in a new tabincludes a list of new core training modules and instructions for how to access and monitor training completion. It is a living document and will be updated as needed with new information.
